This study analyses the cost-effectiveness of primary health care on the basis of two alternative models of health care delivery the .traditional. model and the Family Health Program of the Unified Health System. Firstly we make a theoretical approach to health economics assessment in all its complexity, and then we carry out a cost-effectiveness analysis based on a case study in the city of Porto Alegre. The data showed the Family Health Program to be more cost effectiveDownloads
