Introduction: Telehealth has been gaining more and more space, and the pandemic has contributed significantly to the exponential increase in its use. Objective: To present an overview of telehealth in times of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 pandemic. Methods: This is an integrative literature review covering publications between the years 2020 to 2022. The searches were carried out in the months of November and December 2022 in Google Scholar, Virtual Health Library, Pubmed, and Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) databases, using the descriptors “COVID-19”, “telehealth”, “telemedicine”, and “health personnel”, combined with each other using the Boolean operator AND. 449 articles were found which, after reading the abstracts and applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, were reduced to 12 articles, selected to compose the review. Results: Telehealth had its greatest diffusion during the pandemic period, as in the face of restrictive measures of social isolation, it allowed the provision of health services, such as consultations and monitoring of users. Conclusions: Despite the advances in its use and its advantages, such as low cost and ease of operation, problems still persist, such as the availability of adequate infrastructure and internet access. Telehealth is expected to become an essential part of the service and significantly contribute to health services and users.
