Revista Brasileira de Medicina de Família e Comunidade (RBMFC) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina de Família e Comunidade (SBMFC). Articles are published continuously throughout the year, and can be read and redistributed free of charge. Potential authors should take note of RBMFC's editorial policies, beginning with the journal focus and scope and the policy of the intended section, facilitating adherence to the author guidelines.
For authors
Would you like to publish an article in RBMFC (Revista Brasileira de Medicina de Família e Comunidade)?
Before preparing your presentation, consider the journal's scope. Will readers really be interested in your article? If you don't regularly read the journal, read its focus and scope and check out some articles from current or previous issues.
For an article to be sent to peer review, it must comply with the editorial policies, including the policy on open data and reproducibility. The editorial policies are reviewed at least once a year!
The submission page has author guidelines and section policies, among other useful information. These section guidelines and policies must also be followed, so that the article can be sent to peer review.
If your article is approved for publication (congratulations!), it will go through copyediting and production. When published, RBMFC will notify the authors, as well as the SBMFC (Sociedade Brasileira de Medicina de Família e Comunidade) mailing list and through RBMFC's profile on Twitter. We also advise you to also announce the article publication, directly to your colleagues and contacts, through your institution's communication advisory, or on social networks on the Internet.
Tips for setting up your profile on the journal:
Identity. If you wish to indicate a "Preferred Public Name", you must include the full name, not just the form of address.
Contact. Filling in the optional data can help us contact you in case of difficulty.
Public. The biography summary should contain your performance and professional background, as well as any information necessary for others to understand your experience. The URL field can be used to indicate curriculum vitae (Lattes, in the case of Brazilians). The ORCID identity is required, and can be created in minutes.
